James was diagnosed with strains in his left knee and lower back after examination by Cavaliers’ team doctor Wednesday. James will be treated with anti-inflammatories, rehabilitation, training room treatment and rest, the team said in a statement:
The forward did not travel with the team to Charlotte for Friday’s game. James has missed Cleveland’s last two games, and according to ESPN Stats & Info, he has never missed more than seven games in a season.
If James is out for the full two weeks, he would play Jan. 15 against the Lakers.
