Fans have been waiting years to get their hands on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, but unfortunately the game keeps getting pushed back. While LEGO Star Wars fans wait for more news on the The Skywalker Saga release date, they can check out a video uploaded by Reddit user XavierEL1 to help pass the time. The brief video shows how combat looked in LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga from 2007 compared to how it looks in LEGO Star Wars: The Skyalker Saga in 2022.

As expected, the video shows a huge upgrade in animation when comparing LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga gameplay to the 2007 game that preceded it. There’s also a lot more environmental detail and the graphics are generally improved. It’s been 15 years since LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga launched, and so no one should be surprised that the new game looks much more advanced than its predecessor, though the comparison video really shines a light on just how substantial the upgrade will be.

If LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s early 2022 release window is accurate, then hopefully fans will see more of the game soon. There have been various LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga gameplay videos and trailers released since the game’s announcement, but it would still be great to see more of it in action prior to launch.

LEGO Star Wars’ popularity has persisted for well over a decade at this point, and it looks like LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is aiming to be the definitive way to experience the series. LEGO Star Wars fans will find out if it lives up to the hype soon enough.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
